SPHS-Physician Revenue Cycle
The Revenue Cycle Representative will:
- Review and work outstanding accounts added to assigned CBO responsibility work lists as well as special accounts lacking codes for release into A/R, until the accounts are paid or forwarded to an agency.
- Attach, if needed, appropriate third-party forms for billing purpose. Review for required authorization, attachments or other billing requirements including complex State and Federal rules and regulations.
- Prepare small balance write-offs, transfer credits to open accounts and/or prepare refunds for approval by CBO Coordinator or Manager Physician Revenue Cycle.
- Respond to mail and/or incoming phone calls regarding professional service accounts, payments, and complaints.
- Perform other duties as requested.
Requirements:
- Requires one (or more years experience as a Medical Insurance Biller or related responsibilities and Physician Billing strongly preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
- Requires the interpersonal skills necessary to lead others and to work effectively with Physician CBO personnel as well as other internally and externally related groups/vendors.
- Must possess knowledge of Collection, A/R follow-up and billing. Knowledge of third- party payers, State and Federal Agencies (constantly changing) with regards to physician services billing and collection.
