EKG
The EKG Technician will:
- Confirm physician's order prior to performance of study.
- Explain testing procedure to patient
- Transmit and process ECG from cart to computer system
- Maintain adequate inventory of supplies in order to operate in an efficient manner
- Perform requested study in a skillful and careful manner
- Maintain a good rapport with patients, staff, visitors
Requirements:
- One (1) year of related experience required.
- Technical aptitude required to interpret physicians' orders, utilize Electrocardiograph, maintain equipment, etc.
- Work requires a high level of interpersonal skills to interact with patients and deal effectively with medical, nursing, technical and other staff members.
- Ability to learn the performance of Electrocardiograms on neonatal patients required.
- Work requires light typing ability to produce simple reports, letters, records, etc.
- Work requires standing and walking for prolonged periods of time (85% of work time) as well as ability to push equipment cart throughout the Hospital.
