SPPA-Vascular North Brunswick
The Registered Vascular Tech will:
- Schedule appointments
- Prepare the patient for the procedure, ensuring they are as comfortable as possible
- Obtain a brief health history
- Perform vascular procedures following accepted protocol and utilizes the clinical symptoms and data to aid preliminary diagnosis
- Assist Vascular Surgeon in diagnosis in a competent and professional manner
- Assist in ordering of supplies and proper maintenance of equipment
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of a one (1) year training program or equivalent on-the-job training.
- Graduate from approved school of medical ultrasound technology or equivalent.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, human anatomy and physiology, and pertinent testing procedures required to perform clinical tests, maintain equipment, chart treatments and tests, etc.
- RVT Certification required.
- BLS Certification required, as approved by the American Heart Association.
