The Bilingual Medical Secretary will:

  • Complete new OB questionnaires with patients with high level of details and accuracy.
  • Enter clinical (from EMR) and demographic data into NJS Perinatal Risk Assessment website.
  • Receive and screen telephone calls for the Department and prioritizes them appropriately.
  • Schedule new and established OBGYN patient appointments
  • Scan documents into EMR system, verifying they are in appropriate chart.
  • Receive requests for supplies, equipment, etc. from the various employees of the department.
  • Print and distribute monthly OB & Nutrition coverage schedules, lab and insurance participating grids.
  • Maintain provider files, ensuring that all license, CDS/DEA certificates, and other credentialing information is up-to-date.
  • Provide coverage to the front desk registration and scheduling areas as needed.


Requirements:

  • Minimum of two (2) years office experience.
  • Highly-motivated, independent thinker and self-starter.
  • Enthusiastic team player.
  • Excellent organizational, planning and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to manage multiple projects. Strong follow-up and communication skills.
  • Bilingual: Spanish/English, strongly preferred.
  • Requires attention to detail and computer accuracy as pertains to data entry and patient scheduling and competence on basic office machines.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Familiar with clinical practice operations a plus Good computer skills.
  • Word processing, office scheduling, familiar with Windows.


We offer competitive base rates that are determined by many factors, including job-related work experience, internal equity, and industry-specific market data. In addition to base salary, some positions may be eligible for clinical certification pay and shift differentials.

The salary range listed for exempt positions reflects full-time compensation and will be prorated based on employment status.
