The Registration Representative - Part Time Evenings will:

  • Conduct a confidential, professional interview with the patient or legal next of kin inclusive of an introduction, assessment of the patient/family member's emotional state. Provides concerned, informative, supportive dialogue. Ensures the patient's understanding of Hospital policies delineated on their rights. Information is disseminated in English, Spanish or through the Cyraphone system. Appropriate responses are made for all patient questions and concerns.
  • Ensure accurate collection and recording of all specific demographic, sociologic, financial information and spelling of diagnoses or clinical reasons for testing in HIS. Address verification and insurance card copies are requested and scanned.
  • Access unique medical record number for each patient on each encounter to the Hospital, which will be used throughout the patient's life span to ensure accurate identification.
  • Obtain the legal signatures for consent for medical treatment in accordance with established department and Hospital policy.


Requirements:

  • Medical Terminology required
  • Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred
  • ICD coding experience
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Knowledge of third party payer, federal and state regulations desired
  • Highly motivated
  • Enthusiastic team player


We offer competitive base rates that are determined by many factors, including job-related work experience, internal equity, and industry-specific market data. In addition to base salary, some positions may be eligible for clinical certification pay and shift differentials.

The salary range listed for exempt positions reflects full-time compensation and will be prorated based on employment status.
