The Radiology Assistant will:
Requirements:
• Computer expertise with knowledge of word processing and database software.
• Good office and organizational skills are required. Experience with patient/customer environment.
• Attention to detail and computer accuracy as pertains to data entry and patient scheduling and competence on basic office machines.
• Good communication skills for effective and courteous interaction with a diverse group of patients, hospital personnel, physicians and their staff, and the community.
• Ability to project a positive image of the Department and our services through interaction with patients and their families, outside institutions, physicians, and other Hospital department and staff.
• Knowledge of universal precautions.
We offer competitive base rates that are determined by many factors, including job-related work experience, internal equity, and industry-specific market data. In addition to base salary, some positions may be eligible for clinical certification pay and shift differentials.
The salary range listed for exempt positions reflects full-time compensation and will be prorated based on employment status.

Radiology Administration
The Radiology Assistant will:
- Prepares daily patient materials according to the schedule.
- Process all order entries in syngo.
- Obtains all necessary orders for each modality.
- Process all imaging requests
- Scheduling
- Schedule ultrasounds, Xrays, and MBSS.
- Obtain all necessary orders for future appointment/scanning.
- Call referring physicians' offices to obtain orders.
- Retrieve voice messages from the appointment line.
- Utilizes the Cyraphone when necessary.
- Process HIM requests for Images.
- Handle high-volume telephones.
- Interacts in a professional manner with patients and their families.
- Interacts in a professional manner with all hospital personnel, vendors.
- Directs anyone that needs assistance.
- Input and monitor medical transport requests.
- Monitors patient flow and informs patients of any delays.
- Maintains a clean waiting area (chairs).
- Performs a variety of miscellaneous tasks in support of the department's activities.
- Sorts mail.
- Fax reports.
- Process daily covid/labs orders.
- Call ED patients / Press Ganey surveys.
- Maintains a clean environment/waiting area.
