Antenatal Testing Unit
The Prenatal Ultrasound Tech will:
- Prepare exam rooms and ultrasound equipment's to conduct sonography examinations in accordance with infections disease, sterilization, and patient safety protocols, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure that the sonography examination order is complete, contains relevant information, and meets the standard of "medical necessity."
- Conduct patient clinical assessment and perform the diagnostic medical sonography examination ordered by the Perinatologist in accordance with professional and facility protocols.
- Apply independent judgment during the sonography examination to ensure that appropriate anatomical, pathological, and clinical conditions are accurately captured in the examination images.
- Review examination images, synthesize examination results, and prepare the Preliminary findings.
Requirements:
- Associates Degree in Allied Health or Sonography education preferred.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in High-Risk OB.
- Demonstrate competence in the care of high-risk OB patients.
- American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) is required.
- Demonstrate commitments to professional growth and lifelong learning (e.g., continuing medical education in the specialty area performed, higher education, staff training)
- Demonstrate proficiency with computer skills and software programs used for documentation activities and report generation. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
