The Pediatrician will:
- Diagnose and treat illnesses, medical conditions, and injuries.
- Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests.
- Collect, record, and maintain patients' information and histories.
- Prescribe and administer treatments, therapies, medications, vaccinations, and other specialized medical care.
- Explain procedures and discussing test results or prescribed treatments with patients and family members.
- Monitor patients' conditions and progress.
- Direct, coordinate, consult with regards to patient care and referring patients to specialists, therapists, and other medical staff.
- Advise patients, parents, and guardians on diets, activities, hygiene, and disease prevention.
- Conduct research and remaining up to date on current trends, discoveries, and developments in the field.
- Serve as teaching faculty for pediatric residents and medical students.
- Serve as attending physician, across all nursery's.
Requirements:
- A Medical degree and the successful completion of a residency in pediatrics
- MD License in the State of New Jersey
- Board certified or eligibility in pediatrics
- BLS certification required, as approved by the American Heart Association.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to children
- Strong decision-making, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills
- Good organizational, leadership, and teamworking skills
- A caring and compassionate nature when working with children and their families
