The Pediatrician will:

  • Diagnose and treat illnesses, medical conditions, and injuries.
  • Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests.
  • Collect, record, and maintain patients' information and histories.
  • Prescribe and administer treatments, therapies, medications, vaccinations, and other specialized medical care.
  • Explain procedures and discussing test results or prescribed treatments with patients and family members.
  • Monitor patients' conditions and progress.
  • Direct, coordinate, consult with regards to patient care and referring patients to specialists, therapists, and other medical staff.
  • Advise patients, parents, and guardians on diets, activities, hygiene, and disease prevention.
  • Conduct research and remaining up to date on current trends, discoveries, and developments in the field.
  • Serve as teaching faculty for pediatric residents and medical students.
  • Serve as attending physician, across all nursery's.


Requirements:

  • A Medical degree and the successful completion of a residency in pediatrics
  • MD License in the State of New Jersey
  • Board certified or eligibility in pediatrics
  • BLS certification required, as approved by the American Heart Association.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to children
  • Strong decision-making, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills
  • Good organizational, leadership, and teamworking skills
  • A caring and compassionate nature when working with children and their families


Full-time clinical base compensation at Saint Peter's Healthcare System ranges from 125,000.00 - 750,000.00 USD, which is impacted by various factors, including but not limited to physician specialty, level of experience, quality of care, academic accomplishments, patient experience and productivity. The base compensation range listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.
