We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pediatric Pulmonologist to join our multidisciplinary team.

The Division of Pulmonology at The Children's Hospital at Saint Peter's University Hospital diagnoses and manages acute and chronic respiratory disorders and diseases, such as asthma, in children of all ages. Saint Peter's offers comprehensive pulmonary evaluation, treatment, and management for children with asthma, wheezing, croup, chronic cough, trouble breathing during exercise, pneumonia, recurrent and persistent pneumonia, unusual respiratory infections, bronchopulmonary dysplasia/chronic lung disease.

As part of our comprehensive neonatology services, premature babies with underdeveloped lungs are treated for the following conditions: snoring and obstructive sleep apnea, pulmonary complications from neuromuscular disease, airway and chest wall abnormalities, apnea or abnormal breathing pattern, cystic fibrosis.

Diagnostic testing and treatment used to treat infants and children include:

  • Spirometry
  • Pulmonary function testing
  • Flexible bronchoscopy to help view inside the lungs
  • Chest X-rays and computed tomography (CT scan)
  • Sweat testing and genetic testing to diagnose cystic fibrosis
  • Exercise testing to assess lung function in children with exercise-induced symptoms.

This role is ideal for an ambitious and skilled pediatric pulmonologist to join a well-established practice with a robust staff. The ideal candidate should be collaborative and will be responsible for providing direct outpatient care to patients with possible pediatric pulmonary disorders at Saint Peter's Healthcare System Hospital, outpatient facilities and associated satellite locations. This position will have both clinical and academic responsibilities including primary and consultative inpatient and outpatient responsibilities.

Qualifications:

  • BE/BC in Pulmonary Pediatrics
  • Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of New Jersey
  • Open to New Graduates and Experienced Physicians
  • Demonstrated success working individually and as part of a team
  • Completion of a Pediatric Residency program


Full-time clinical base compensation at Saint Peter's Healthcare System ranges from 125,000.00 - 750,000.00 USD, which is impacted by various factors, including but not limited to physician specialty, level of experience, quality of care, academic accomplishments, patient experience and productivity. The base compensation range listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.
