We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Developmental Pediatrician to join our multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will specialize in diagnosing and managing developmental, behavioral, and learning disorders in children and adolescents. This role involves clinical assessment, intervention, research, and family education to ensure comprehensive care tailored to each child's unique needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Assessment and Diagnosis:

• Conduct thorough assessments to diagnose developmental and behavioral disorders such as Autism Spectrum Disorders, ADHD, learning disabilities, and intellectual disabilities.
• Utilize standardized developmental tools and assessments to evaluate cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.

Treatment Planning and Intervention:
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that may include behavioral therapy, medication management, and coordination with other specialists.
• Collaborate with speech therapists, occupational therapists, psychologists, and educators to provide holistic care and support for children and their families.
• Monitor and adjust treatment plans based on the child's progress and emerging needs

The Children's Hospital has a dedicated, newly designed pediatric emergency room with more than 23,000 visits annually and a full range of medical and surgical pediatric subspecialty care. The Children's Hospital is home to the region's top pediatric intensivists and neonatologists and boasts a 54-bed neonatal ICU, an inpatient pediatric unit with a dedicated epilepsy monitoring unit and a 14-bed pediatric ICU with step-down.

Saint Peter's is also a national leader with its continued Magnet designation, demonstrating our commitment to nursing achievement and excellence. Saint Peter's is an academic affiliate of Rutgers Medical School. Our freestanding pediatric residency program has a compliment of 24 pediatric residents.

Requirements:

Education:

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
• Completed residency in Pediatrics.
• Fellowship training in Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics or Neurodevelopmental Disabilities is highly desirable.

Licensure and Certification:

• Board certification or eligibility in Pediatrics.
• Subspecialty certification or eligibility in Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics.
• Valid medical license to practice in New Jersey
