The Cardiac Sonographer will:
Requirements:
• Knowledge of Cardiac Diagnostic equipment, techniques and procedures required to perform or assist in the performance of clinical tests and procedures.
• Graduate from approved school of Medical Ultrasound technology or equivalent.
• Minimum requirement is national registry eligible.
• Required national registry, RDCS (ARDMS) preferred and RCS (CCI) will be considered.
• Work requires a high level of interpersonal skills to interact with patients, deal effectively with medical, nursing, technical and other staff.
• Work requires standing and walking 50% of the time.
BLS certification required, as approved by the American Heart Association
We offer competitive base rates that are determined by many factors, including job-related work experience, internal equity, and industry-specific market data. In addition to base salary, some positions may be eligible for clinical certification pay and shift differentials.
The salary range listed for exempt positions reflects full-time compensation and will be prorated based on employment status.

Pediatric Cardiology
The Cardiac Sonographer will:
- Perform echocardiographic procedures following accepted protocol and utilizes the clinical symptoms and data to aid in preliminary diagnosis.
- Uses the proper sonography equipment to produce high quality images on hard copy, following the department protocol for preliminary and final readings as appropriate to the age of the patient's growth and development through the life cycle factors (prenatal through adulthood).
- Prepare patient for echocardiographic procedures.
Ensure that patient is properly prepared for procedure before beginning as appropriate to the age of the patient's growth and development through the life cycle factors (prenatal through adulthood). - Conduct self in a professional manner and communicates with patients to help them feel at ease.
- Communicate with Physicians, Hospitals, clinical staff and community staff in a competent and professional manner.
