Supervisor Sterile Compounding

The Supervisor Sterile Compounding will:
Manages all aspects of day-to-day operations within the pharmacy department sterile compounding areas, including the supervision of pharmacy staff while on duty. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to, customer service, order verification, medication delivery, and inventory management of controlled and legend drugs. In concert with the Manager and/or Director, plans, develops and implements procedures related to improvement of service and medication safety. The Supervisor- Sterile Compounding, Inpatient Dispensing, performs the duties of a pharmacist as required.

  • Licensure in the State of New Jersey as a Registered Pharmacist, or evidence of eligibility for same, required.
  • PharmD or BS in Pharmacy or equivalent from an institution recognized by the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy.
  • Knowledge base and familiarity with inpatient pharmacy operations.
  • This general level of competency is usually attained through a minimum of three (3) years of actual institutional practice.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and direct others.
  • Ability to establish, develop, and maintain professionally effective relationships with hospital administrators, physicians, peers and fellow hospital employees.
