We are seeking a per diem Hospitalist Physician to join one of our team.

Saint Peter's University Hospital is a non-profit, 478-bed acute care teaching hospital sponsored by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Metuchen. Saint Peter's brings the latest medical practices and highly skilled professionals to the bedside. We employ more than 3,600 healthcare professionals and support personnel, and more than 1,000 doctors and dentists are on staff at our hospital. We treat more than 23,000 inpatients and more than 245,000 outpatients yearly.
Description
Main duties will include managing the care of adult hospitalized patients, admitting new patients, discharging patients in observation, following lab results, ordering medications, updating medical charts, communication with patients, nurses and other medical staff, and patients' families. Ordering consults from other medical specialties. Diagnosing and treating various illnesses and disease; examining patients as they are admitted. Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, lab work and x-rays.

Requirements:
• A Medical degree and the successful completion of ACGME or AOA residency
• MD or DO license in the State of New Jersey
• Board certification or eligibility from the appropriate specialty or subspecialty board
• CDS and DEA license required
• Must qualify for Saint Peter's University Hospital Liability insurance
