The Payment Application Supervisor will:
Payment Applications Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the payment applications and cashiering functions within the hospital's Patient Accounts Department. This role involves managing a team of cashiers to ensure accurate and efficient processing of payments and cash handling procedures. The Hospital Payment Applications Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the posting and reconciliation of all cash payments made to the hospital. The supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring accurate and efficient financial operations.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field or 5+ years equivalent work experience in accounting principles and cash handling procedures preferred.
• Effective leadership, team management, and communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
• Intermediate proficiency in using relevant software including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Visio along with familiarity with electronic payment systems.
• Knowledge of payment application and cashiering processes within a healthcare setting preferred.
• Attention to detail and accuracy along with excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Possess a strong theoretical and practical working knowledge of cash posting and reconciliation.
We offer competitive base rates that are determined by many factors, including job-related work experience, internal equity, and industry-specific market data. In addition to base salary, some positions may be eligible for clinical certification pay and shift differentials.
The salary range listed for exempt positions reflects full-time compensation and will be prorated based on employment status.
