Psychotherapy services are considered an integral part of the multidisciplinary therapeutic process and are provided within the context of the Quality Improvement Program-New Jersey(QIP-NJ). The Therapist/Licensed Social Worker coordinates the multidisciplinary treatment of the patient and family.

The Licensed Professional Therapist will:
  • Coordinate the multidisciplinary treatment of the patient and family
  • Implement the service and discharge plan as appropriate to the ages of the patients and to the developmental life cycle stage
  • Function as an interdisciplinary team member in a specialty area
  • Function as an interdisciplinary team member in a specialty area


Requirements:
  • Masters from accredited Graduate School of Counseling or Masters in other area of human/social services.
  • NJ Professional License: LSW, LCSW, LAC, LPC, LMFT. NPI and Medical Non Billing Provider Number are required; the application should be submitted to the State within the first 30 days of employment.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience providing mental health services for children and families.
  • A genuine respect and interest in working with the emotionally disturbed population.
  • Knowledge of case management services mandatory.
  • BLS Certification required, as approved by the American Heart Association within six months of employment.
