Accountable for performing a wide range of critical financial analytics and data maintenance functions which support the Healthcare System's hospital and physician enterprise. Must effectively communicate with various levels of organizational stakeholders and serve as a resource for the department in supporting the organization's monthly financial reporting, business planning and program maintenance activities. Draws conclusions and communicates findings on proposed and existing programs.
Must be able to function independently and as part of a team, utilizing own judgment and discretion with daily decision-making. Supply specialized reporting, executive summaries and recommendations for management as requested. Identifies all emerging issues and risks that may threaten the success of the projects and initiates corrective action, as appropriate.
Summary:
• Provides hospital and physician program analytical services including routine and ad hoc reporting of financial and physician data utilizing combined application of business knowledge and intermediate-advanced data skills.
• Summarizes financial, clinical and market data for use in written and oral presentations. Draws conclusions and communicates findings on proposed and existing program effectiveness and utilization. Identifies trends and opportunities for operational improvement and development.
• Effectively communicates with stakeholders by proactively clarifying scope and requirements of analysis projects, and providing status updates.
• Promotes quality assurance and overall integrity of the work performed through accurate and timely extraction, manipulation, interpretation, analysis, and presentation of data with in-depth data analysis and validity checking.
• Participates in the administration and management of decision support system database including data interfaces and reference files. Understands system data structures and reporting tools needed to generate reports.
• Works collaboratively with department representatives including Budget, Accounting, Information Technology-Decision Support, and others in report development and standardization.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree with emphasis on finance / business is preferred with minimum of 5 years working experience in healthcare field.
• Proficient in Advanced Microsoft Excel, Power Point, database management.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret and summarize complex data sets and financial reports.
• Ability to communicate clearly, verbally and in writing with excellent presentation skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good problem-solving skills
• Flexibility to work both independently and in a team environment.
