Physical Therapist
Pediatric Therapy
The Physical Therapist will:
Evaluates and assesses neonate, pediatric and adolescent patients with neurodevelopmental and orthopedic diseases and/or disabilities to determine their level of function. Develops and performs therapeutic treatment programs that reflect age and developmentally appropriate activities and documents findings. Communicates and works closely with Medical Staff and other healthcare professionals. Participates in clinical education programs and departmental program development in assigned areas. Practices in accordance with professional code of ethics and New Jersey State Practice Act.
Requirements:
• Requires a Bachelors, Masters degree or DPT, graduate of an entry level masters or doctorate program in Physical Therapy from a college or university accredited by Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
• Requires a current New Jersey State license and registration in Physical Therapy or eligibility.
• Previous experience preferred; especially in Pediatric Rehabilitation.
• Requires analytical ability, use of independent judgment and sufficient interpersonal and communication skills for interaction with patients, parents, caregivers, students, therapists and other health care professionals.
• NDT certification preferred but not necessary.
• BLS Certification required, as approved by the American Heart Association.
