We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist to join our multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive care to children with blood disorders and cancers. This role involves diagnosing, treating, and managing pediatric patients while working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver compassionate and cutting-edge care.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care:
Diagnose and treat various pediatric hematologic and oncologic conditions, including leukemia, lymphoma, hemophilia, sickle cell anemia, and other blood disorders. Develop individualized treatment plans and manage chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and other treatment modalities. Conduct regular follow-up visits to monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.

Diagnose and treat various pediatric hematologic and oncologic conditions, including leukemia, lymphoma, hemophilia, sickle cell anemia, and other blood disorders. - Collaboration and Teamwork:
- Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including pediatric nurses, social workers, nutritionists, and other specialists, to ensure holistic patient care
- Coordinate with referring physicians and other healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes,
Patient and Family Support - Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families, helping them understand diagnoses, treatment options, and prognosis
- Develop strong relationships with patients and families, ensuring clear communication and compassionate care.
Administrative Duties:
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations and privacy laws.
- Participate in departmental meetings, case reviews, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Assist in the development and implementation of clinical protocols and guidelines
Qualifications:
Education:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
- Completion of a Pediatric Residency program
- Fellowship in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology
Licensure and Certification:
- Board certification in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology
- Active medical license to practice in the state of New Jersey
