Join a nationally recognized leader in diabetes care - Saint Peter's Physician Associates is seeking a BE/BC Endocrinologist to join our established, multispecialty practice with locations in Monroe and East Brunswick, NJ.

Position Overview:

  • Schedule: 3 days/week in Monroe; 2 days/week in East Brunswick
  • Clinical Hours: 40 hours clinical plus 2 hours daily administrative time
  • Call Responsibilities: Light call rotation (1 week at a time, 7-8 weeks annually); 1-2 holiday coverages per year
  • Practice Overview: Outpatient-focused with minimal inpatient duties supported by 24/7 hospitalist team coverage. Established practice with 15-20-year history offers balanced caseload with existing patient panel and steady referrals.
  • Team Environment: Multispecialty collaborative group including diabetes educators, nurse practitioners, social workers, and dedicated clinical support staff. Supportive leadership and faculty foster professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and treat disorders of the endocrine system, including diabetes, thyroid diseases, adrenal disorders, osteoporosis, and reproductive issues
  • Conduct thorough examinations, including reviewing patient history, physical exams, and ordering diagnostic tests such as blood tests, imaging, and biopsies
  • Develop individualized treatment plans, including prescribing medications, recommending lifestyle changes, and discussing surgical options when necessary
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments based on response and health changes
  • Educate patients on managing chronic endocrine conditions, such as diabetes or thyroid disease, and provide guidance on hormone therapy

Skills and Competencies:

  • In-depth knowledge of endocrine disorders, treatment options, and current best practices
  • Strong diagnostic and clinical skills, particularly in managing chronic conditions such as diabetes and thyroid disorders
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex medical information to patients in an understandable way
  • Empathy and patience in dealing with patients who may be managing lifelong chronic conditions
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple patient cases

Requirements:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school
  • Completion of a residency program in internal medicine
  • Completion of a fellowship in endocrinology
  • Board certification or eligibility in endocrinology


Full-time compensation at Saint Peter's Healthcare System ranges from 125,000.00 - 750,000.00 USD, which is impacted by various factors, including but not limited to physician specialty, years of experience, academic and administrative appointment, and pre-established metrics on productivity/patient engagement/quality.
