The Practice Coordinator will:
1. Create effective work plans; identifies the appropriate resources and processes; sets priorities; delegates authority and meets deadlines.
2. Incorporate control systems that monitor workflow and ensure task completion.
3. Ensure compliance with departmental and hospital regulatory guidelines such as Joint Commission, OSHA, DOH, EEOC, etc., to meet or exceed standards.
4. Understand and adheres to and reinforces compliance standards as they appear in the Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Business Conduct, Conflict of Interest Policy and departmental specific compliance requirements; sponsors and implements initiatives to achieve compliance goals.
5. Enforce for all subordinates and personally complies with all disease prevention and infection control requirements.
6. Develop and/or assists in development of departmental budget. Ensures that budget dollars are used responsibly; introduces innovative ways to reduce costs.
7. Identify patient needs and takes action to meet those needs; continually searches for ways to increase customer satisfaction.
8. Emphasize the need to deliver quality services; defines standards for quality and evaluates processes against those standards in an effort to improve departmental performance.
9. Assist in orienting, training, and on-boarding new employees.
10. Coordinate space and handles office moves.
11. Responsible for completion of payroll (Kronos).

Requirements:
1. Good communication skills for effective and courteous interaction with a diverse group of patients, hospital personnel, vendors, visitors, physicians and their staff.
2. Bachelor's degree with a focus in Healthcare Management or 2-3 years of experience in a healthcare office and patient/customer environment.
3. Excellent office, organizational and multitasking skills with ability to pay close attention to detail and computer accuracy as pertains to data entry for expenditures, payroll and patient/staff scheduling.
4. Computer expertise necessary with skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe. Competence with basic office machines.
5. Ability to project a positive image of the Genetics/Genomic Department through interactions with patients and their families, outside institutions, physicians and other hospital departments and staff.

We offer competitive base rates that are determined by many factors, including job-related work experience, internal equity, and industry-specific market data. In addition to base salary, some positions may be eligible for clinical certification pay and shift differentials.

The salary range listed for exempt positions reflects full-time compensation and will be prorated based on employment status.
